Font Picker

Font picker is a simple application for graphic designers. It lets you browse the installed fonts on your computer and then narrow down that selection till you find the perfect font for your design project.

The days of squinting at small font samples are over. Once you've got your short list of fonts, you can save it or share it using the share charm.

UPDATE 5 December 2012: Just sent version 1.2 to the store. This version includes search.

What's the best way to make a demo video in Windows 8?

Screen capture software, there is the Expression Encoder Trial, Camtasia trial, or Jing. I use the Microsoft Expression encoder. Trial does up to 10 minutes. microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27870 techsmith.com/download/camtasia/default.asp techsmith.com/jing.html?gclid=CLTYleTW9rECFUXf4AodLT8AUw

It's pretty cool!. But there are a pair of things that i think that could make it better. 1st. Market it better, from the market description it seems less cool than it is. The small side window option that allows you to run it aside your project is really cool. 2nd I kinda miss an option where i can start typing a font name and it filters them. Lastly this is minimal. but the button names don't quite make sense. On a spanish w8 I get Copy, Delete, which are ok. Cut which puts it on a smaller list? and replenishment which seems a weird translation by microsoft for update. Hope it helps

Good tips thanks. I'll add a screenshot of the snap view and try to spice up my sales copy. Perhaps I can add a search contract for font names, so I'll give that a go. I got some help with the Spanish translations: 'Reposición' is supposed to mean reset, or restore. What should it be?

No problem, Maybe the best option could be Restaurar which is literal from Restore.
