So I figured I'd tell other readers. This game is better than the 3-in-a-row it looks to be, because you're allowed to move while the board is changing, meaning you get to cheat the physics system and there's time pressure. I don't usually like 3-in-a-rows, but this game is actually a lot of fun. It's also free; give it a chance.

Actually I've played a few bejeweled clones like this that allow you to move while things are falling. Its a bit gaudy for my taste but it looks to be fun and they did a good job of incorporating windows features into it.

Did you make Epic Smiley? bit.ly/T6ebNV
Software Developer Nov 24 '12 at 13:23
Did you make this diamond in GIMP? istockphoto.com/…
PolCPP Nov 26 '12 at 0:32
@Software Developer I'm not sure if the epic smiley has some kind of copyright, about the diamonds wtf how did you manage to find that (curious) On the other side. @Maciej, if you need to replace them Open Game Art. has some (less cool but you can alter them with blender) opengameart.org/content/rotating-crystal-animation-8-step

I have taken a diamond picture from blog whybecausescience.wordpress.com/category/diamonds and modified it strongly what is fair use. Here you have an article, you can read and I hope it will make it clear to you socialmediaexaminer.com/…
Software Developer Nov 26 '12 at 17:36
I'm no copyright lawyer but doesn't seem like fair use to me, hardly transformative or protected use. From your article, "Fair use basically means you’re allowed to infringe on someone’s copyright and they can’t do anything about it" and from the rules "The Submission must not contain images or artwork not created by entrant", If the people running the contest feel like cropping out the background and resizing the diamond slightly changing proportion constitutes you creating the image then so be it... but I think it's more like as you say, you took it from a blog.

Why are the graphics so bad?
Maciej Kachniarz Nov 13 '12 at 23:04
I'm sorry you don't like it. Fortunately many people enjoy it :)
jonathanpeppers Nov 15 '12 at 4:12
Just saying a good graphic designer would do you some good.
Software Developer Nov 16 '12 at 20:53
Not everyone has graphic designers on their project. It can be really tough for one individual to provide the best experience in all aspects. This app seems to do a pretty good job. It's flashy that's for sure and graphics can always be swapped. Did you create these graphics, pay to license stock photos, or just download them off the internet?
Maciej Kachniarz Nov 16 '12 at 23:10
they are just done in gimp :)
Software Developer Nov 20 '12 at 13:40
So you didn't download them off the internet? You just made them in GIMP yourself?

Maciej Kachniarz Nov 7 '12 at 20:42
Nice to hear that you are waiting for release. Probably this weekend my app will be done :) I just need to improve some minor bugs.
RichardTheKiwi Nov 18 '12 at 9:32
You want to make the bugs better?

I don't have Windows 8 and can't try this amazing looking game but I am sure it's as enjoyable as it looks. I love these types of classic puzzle games and I can spend hours playing it. Maybe when I get Windows 8 on my PC I will try this game :D
Maciej Kachniarz Nov 6 '12 at 14:26
Thank you for such a positive comment :)
