Tafiti is Windows 8 client for Google Reader. I have spent more than a year building desktop Google reader client which is now available at tafitiapp.com. Now I want to bring the same experience to Windows 8.

My goal is to build a high performance app with great UI for distraction free reading. Here are some of the goals.

  1. Good user experience via high quality UI and excellent performance.
  2. Off-line reading.
  3. Great reading experience by using DirectWrite for text rendering.
  4. Support for annotations.
  5. Social integration, not limited to posting stories to social networks.
