nice app,but any special specification you made in your app,the specifications and the gameplay modes were provided mostly by other chess applications in market,i am discouraging you but you need to make some special feature in order to provide stablity while it hits market

The planned feature I have listed are not available in any chess app in windows 8 store. :) and there is more to come in future.

not sure if you already support that but if you have basic animations of the 'steps' then you could replay those animations when the player taps on one of the previous steps in the left list.
Dangling Neuron Oct 3 '12 at 10:50
yes, there is animation when pieces are moved, and undo button runs back animation. I will be providing a review option just like you said to go through the game step by step. Good suggestion though :)

Chess match review function is now implemented as you suggested :) check out new screen shots.

looks nice, I would move the Save/Load and Undo/Reset buttons into the AppBar though. no need to clutter the screen and it would be more consistent with the design ideas of Win8.

I agree; it needs more consistency with the Formerly Known As Metro design language; maybe remove the 'Settings' and 'Themes' buttons, put them in the Settings Charm instead? Like the direction you're going in.
Dangling Neuron Oct 3 '12 at 10:55
The only reason I put Save/Load Undo/Reset buttons on the screen so they are readily available - Similarly Settings button pulls out the settings charm so its an alternative to swiping from right edge and tapping settings. In my previous published app "Air Soccer Fever" I found out from many reviews that people don't know that there is something called a settings charm and an AppBar that they can check out for options. So your comment is valid as far as Metro design principles go, but there is room in the design principles for putting buttons on the screen when it makes sense. :)

Commands moved to app bars as suggested as well as switch between multiple chess matches using chess thumbnails. Check out new screenshots :)
