PatientCare

PatientCare is a Win store Healthcare app developed in Win 8 Platform. It's targeted for Providers (Patients). As of now patient care enables small practices and hospitals to manage their patient information.

Managing patient information is a tedious process for doctors; there are already enough applications which enable doctors to manage patient information electronically. This application is a Win 8 Store application, with touch capabilities enables the doctors or receptionist to quickly navigate and manage patient information effectively.

There is a huge cost involved for Hospitals in buying the right software which makes their work simpler. The Doctors spend lot of time with application is not considered as good practice, the whole intention of us being a Business Analyst or Product developer manager is to understand how better we can deliver a software which not only meets the doctors expectations but also saves time and help the doctors to manage patient health information effectively.

Any news? Will it be in the store soon?

A great Idea, specially for small and medium scale hospitals. Using tab to manage the hospital system is just awesome. 1) add a remote access to a central DB so that large hospital can use to monitor every single patient in a new way and even more quickly. If you are getting what i mean

I'm planning and having a code for phase 2 which uses HealthVault API so we don't have to deal with security , DB Storage etc. Also with HealthVault it ad-hears to HealthCare Standards

it's good for maintenance in small hospitals!

Yup you are right. As of now it's intended for small hospitals. I'm planning to enhance it further by integrating it with HeatlhVault

Does this abide by any Electronic Health Record Standards?

I'm planning to use HealthVault API's so that it makes everything easier and follows the EHR standards.

vignesh4303, Bryan Dunsmore: As per your suggestion I did some changes for this App, You will now see the improved background for the App, Icons. Also while in patient registration you can select 'Others' in Gender

Dreambeats: I'm working on Phase I where all data is managed in Local storage. Validation etc is applied suitably. I have a plan of writing a service where in it will interact with HealthVault. The patient / doctor can also view from HealthVault any time. Yes HIPPA regulations will be met in later Phases.

Like Bryan said, background needs to be removed and icons should be changed instead of image. Also, the bright blue color for the text background needs to be changed. Also, the "Back" arrow button needs to be changed :)
Ranjan Dailata Sep 28 '12 at 19:08
Yes Bryan I will be removing the background image as you said. Also as vignesh said I will be adding gender: Others. Thanks for your feedback

I would remove the background as it makes everything harder to read and isn't that nice to stare at. I would also get some monochrome icons instead of the ones you are currently using; it looks like you got them off of Google images.

can you add another gender **others(shemale's) since the gender of patient is common ,
Dreambeats Oct 1 '12 at 17:14
The idea is great, but the execution must be flawless. When you are dealing with Doctors and the medical field you need to design an application that functions great, and has minimal errors. Design the UI for a 3 year old and make it intuitive to perform complex functions. Also are you taking into account HIPPA regulations or other governance?
